ASH WEDNESDAY SERVICES

Messiah Lutheran Church begins the season of Lent on February 22nd with Ash Wednesday worship with communion.

We have an 11:00 a.m. and a 7:00 p.m. service. Imposition of ashes are offered at both services.

MID-WEEK BIBLE STUDY

Thursday Bible Study morning classes at 10:30 a.m. and evening classes at 7:00 p.m. Our new theme for January is: "Lutheranism in America."

Sunday School

Sunday school classes are offered for all ages between September and May beginning at 9:30 in our Education wing. We are grateful for the many volunteers within our community who take the time to teach others about our faith.

Renewed by the Word Bible Study

Thursdays at 11:00am and 7:00pm (except during Lent)

We invite you to join us for this mid-week Bible study led by Pastor Tim. Summer topics vary from week to week. Topics to be studied beginning in the fall of 2011 include:

"The Life & Theology of Paul" (September 15 - October 27)
"Wisdom Literature" (November 3 - December 22)
"Lutheranism in America" (January 5, 2012 - February 16, 2012)
"The ELCA Social Statements" (April 12 - June 28)

Confirmation

One Sunday a month during the school year, 12:00-4:00pm (includes lunch)

We encourage our youth in the 6th and 7th grades to participate in our cross+generational confirmation program where we teach our youth and participating adults the basics of our faith through thoughtful discussion and hands-on activities in our community. This two-year program culminates with the Affirmation of Baptism on Pentecost Sunday, when participants have the opportunity to profess their faith before the whole Body of Christ.
